Nathan B. Schattman

 

nathan-b-schattmanNathan Schattman is a senior attorney handling all phases of corporate litigation, labor and employment matters, ERISA, and personal injury cases at Johnston Legal Group. Mr. Schattman also handles civil commercial matters representing insurance companies and financial institutions in first-party disputes, third-party disputes, and large subrogation cases. This includes representation of individuals, self-insureds, and institutional clients in large personal injury, consumer, commercial, products liability and probate cases.

Mr. Schattman has argued before the Fifth Circuit on ERISA matters and first chaired the five-day arbitration following the results of Akpan v. Burlington Northern. Additionally, he successfully appealed the summary judgment granted against the plaintiff in Jackson v. Creditwatch; and defended the Court of Appeals decision before the Texas Supreme Court on October 19, 2004.

Mr. Schattman has been recognized in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, and 2014 as a Top Attorney by Fort Worth, Texas Magazine.
