john-c-hartJohn Hart has over 40 years of experience in the area of property insurance law. John has been involved in all facets of industrial and commercial property insurance, including insurance on facilities such as power generation plants, anhydrous ammonia plants, various types of chemical plants, refineries, electric steel mini-mills, paper mills, Portland cement plants, and other types of heavy industrial facilities. His experience in these areas includes involvement with all types of power production equipment including boilers, turbines (both gas and steam), generators, large power transformers, electrical switch gear, furnaces, and chemical processing equipment such as heat exchangers, catalytic converters, reactors, and various other apparatus. Mr. Hart has been involved in both commercial subrogation on behalf of the insurers of commercial property as well as first-party defense matters, including issues involving the measurement of and claims for both business interruption losses and physical damage to property. John’s insurance work includes coverage matters in connection with all types of major industrial catastrophes. John has been involved in matters of this type in more than 20 states and two Canadian provinces and has written and spoken at a number of national seminars and institutes on subrogation and property insurance coverage.

John has been listed in Who’s Who in American Law since 1987, Who’s Who in Emerging American Leaders since 1992, and Who’s Who in America since 1997. He has been listed among Texas’s “Super Lawyers” by Thomson Reuters(2005-2011). John is a retired major in the U. S. Air Force Reserve.
